Hello Everyone,
Happy Saturday I hope you all have some exciting plans for the weekend!
Today I wanted to share everything I learned about traveling with Emma. Traveling with a baby is far from easy but it is doable and it will leave you with so many great memories!
The hardest thing for Emma was being out of her Snoo. The Snoo has been the biggest help, usually I wake up before she does because she sleeps so well through the night! Without that Emma did not want to sleep. The only saving grace was a wonderful sound machine we used. Before I plugged it in Emma would not go to sleep. After I brought out the sound machine Emma finally started to settle down.
She slept in a Brica Fold and Go travel bassinet we have which was a saving grace knowing she had a safe place to sleep that was right by my bed and it was small and easy to pack!
When it came to Emmas clothing I was lost on what to pack! Emma spits up so much that I need multiple outfits each day and night! If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen a post asking for travel tips from you all! One of the best tips I got was to pack each outfit in zip lock bags so you can pack them for on the go and have everything you need per outfit. This tip saved me so much time and frustration.
Another tip for traveling with a baby would be to bring multiple ways to carry baby! Some times when we went out I would bring her stroller, like when we went shopping or just for walks. Other times having my wrap carrier was the best because it was impractical to have a stroller, such as the docks, piers and beach.
One of the things I was so glad I brought once I was there was her Baby Bjorn bouncer! She loves this bouncer and it was a great help having a quick place to put her when I was relaxing or cooking.
If your baby is formula fed, powder is actually the easiest way to travel. All you have to do is make sure you have enough powder and bottles. You can get filtered or bottled water most places so it makes it much easier to package the powder and add water rather then relying on premixed formula and hoping you don’t run out! Also don’t forget the bottle cleaning soap, it’s essential to clean out the baby’s bottles and not always easy to find!
My last baby travel essential is my camera! I almost always carry my camera with me so I can capture all Emmas special moments but vacation was even more special to have my camera with me! I have been receiving a lot of messages asking for tips for taking pictures of a baby! I will do my best to write that up either tomorrow or Monday, I love sharing all my tips with you all!
If you have anything else you would like me to write about let me know!
Love you all,
Michelle & Emma
