My 12 week Bootcamp

Hello Everyone,

Happy Tuesday! Today I am very proud to say that I am back to my prepregnancy size! This was a goal of mine since I found out I was pregnant.

It was not an easy task Emma and I have been kicking butt with daily walks and yoga to help me get to my goal. I have had many people reach out to me regarding getting back in shape postpartum and let me tell you it is not an easy task!

I gained about 50 pounds during my pregnancy and I still felt beautiful. I knew that the weight I gained was to support the beautiful miracle growing inside of me. Even after having her I was proud of my body, I just grew and delivered the most beautiful baby and my extra skin and stretch marks we’re just a reminder of the amazing thing I accomplished.

When I started to feel better after having her I found workouts that I could do with her to help me stay motivated. I knew if I had to leave her every morning to go to the gym I would never go. To be honest I haven’t left her since she was born and to go someplace like the gym was not realistic for me.

I worked out a plan that has worked for me in the past. I focused on yoga I could do at home and in my yard as well as a walking and jogging schedule. I chose this because I could jog and walk with Emma in her stroller and I found a lot of great yoga moves that you can do with your baby. I felt like it was a great mommy and me activity to promote a healthy lifestyle that we can continue as she grows bigger.

The advice I would give new mom’s on staying active and getting back in shape is to start slow. Your body just went through a huge amount of change and you need time to heal and bond with your child!

I would say find things you can do with your baby! It made me a lot more motivated knowing it was something I could do with Emma! It became one of my favorite parts of our day.

I would say don’t get discouraged everything takes time and every body is different. I was very lucky to loose the weight so fast but even if it takes longer know you are doing great things for your body and your health and you will get to your goals!

Find ways to stay motivated and stick to your schedule! For me this was the idea of being able to teach Emma about a healthy lifestyle when she grows up.

I would love to hear about your postpartum life!

Love you all,

Michelle & Emma

Please excuse the low-quality pregnancy photo I didn’t know I would be sharing with everyone when I took it!
