What’s In My Diaper Bag

Hello Everyone!

Happy Thursday, I hope you all are enjoying your week! This past week a lot of you have reached out to me with photos of your baby’s shadow box you made from my DIY post, they all look amazing! Thank you for sending them along!

When Emma was first born I was constantly on YouTube and blogs reading what moms kept in their diaper bag. So today I figured I would share what’s in mine!

Traveling with a young baby is not easy! You need to remember so many things to take with you even for a short trip.

The important essentials to me and Emma are:

Emma’s bunny lovey: you do not want her to get upset without her lovey near. Moving it in front of her distracts her no matter how upset she is!

A bib and burp pad: For all the drooling and spit ups that happen when she is eating.

Formula: You should always keep an extra meal on hand even if they are not due to eat, you don’t want to get stuck in traffic with a hungry baby! Emma is on Enfamil Nueropro Ready To Use so easy to carry with us!

Diapers, wipes, diaper ointment, and Aquaphor: as all moms are aware you can never predict when a poop or pee is coming but you can be prepared. Emma uses the Honest Company diapers they are gentle and don’t use any harsh ingredients. She is currently using Seventh Generation free and clear wipes but honestly I don’t think they are quite as good as the Pampers pure wipes. She uses Burt’s Bees Baby Diaper Rash Ointment which is the best ointment we have tried, it is thick and keeps the rashes away. The Aquaphor is a classic that you can use as body lotion or in the diaper area to help prevent rashes from starting.

Small swaddle blanket: Emma hates being swaddled but it’s good to carry with us Just in case we go into someplace that is cold.

Emma’s pacifiers (at least two): Emma loves hers!!! Many times I have to keep them on me Just in case she becomes upset. I also carry pacifier wipes and a case that doubles as a sanitizer if they are dropped.

Extra clothes: I always carry extra clothes so when she spits up or has a diaper accident we can quickly have her back to clean and comfortable! I never want her to get to cold in the air conditioning so I always make sure her outfits are dry!

My diaper bag is a backpack styled skip hop available on their website. Available in 6 different colors!
