Hello World!
I apologize for being away so long, To be honest with 3 diabetics in the home it is sometimes hard to find the time to write! Today I am super excited to announce that I am back and I will be starting a new category of our blog…. low carb food!
Recently we found Real Good Foods! They are a low-carb food company that tastes yummy… So yummy that Emma loves it too! Thanks to Real Good Foods Emma was able to try her very first bite of Ice cream last week!! To many that may not seem like a big milestone but to a T1D family it is huge!!! I will post a short video so you can see just how happy Emma was with her ice cream!
The reason I have chosen to make a low-carb milkshake as our first recipe is because Emma enjoyed her ice cream so much that I was so excited to see what else we could create for Emma. Real Good Foods Ice Cream is only 8 G of net carbs per serving and 24 G of net carbs in the entire container! When I started to experiment with making a milkshake that tasted good I was surprised how easy it was. We choose to make Emma’s first milkshake using only 2 ingredients Mint Chocolate chip Real Good Foods Ice cream and unsweetened Almond milk. Follow the recipe below and let me know what you think. I hope you stick around for more low carb food coming soon
Love you all,
Michelle & Emma
