Happy Valentines Day!!

I have been single for enough Valentines day to know that sometimes this day can make the strongest of single ladies feel down. But today is just like any other days! Stay strong woman and celebrate the love you have for yourself, your family, and your friends. Today is all about love; your Valentine can be anyone including yourself! So practice self-love today and do what you want, do what makes you feel beautiful, and do what makes you feel loved!

I spent all of my single valentines days in the most cliche way. With a carton of ice cream, a can of whipped cream and some great movies!

Bellow I will list some of my suggested Netflix movies that will make any single lady feel strong and independent. So here are my top 5 movies that are streaming now!

The Stepford Wives- Rated PG-13

This is one of the most entertaining movies on Netflix! What better way to realize how great it is to a strong and independent woman then to watch a modern woman take down a bunch of stereotypical “housewives” straight out of the 50’s. The movie is a mixture of a chick-flick and a thriller!

#4 Crossroads- Rated PG-13

This might be the corniest cliche 90’s teen chick flick! But it’s great! What a group of old friends reconnect over a cross country road trip! It’s a great movie about friendship and finding your inner strength! Plus its a lot of fun watching a young Brittany Spears act! 

#3 Mulan- Rated PG

Yes, it’s a cartoon but it is also one of the best girl power movies ever made! Mulan is no damsel in distress; she proves to the world that she is strong, and a fighter, she doesn’t need a man to save her! She is one of my heroes, and the movie is one of my favorites!

#2 Marvel’s Jessica Jones

Okay, so it’s a TV show and not technically a movie, but it shows how a girl can kick butt! If you are looking for a binge-worthy TV show, I highly suggest jumping into this one! It’s all about girl power! Trust me Jessica Jones is tough!

#1 Legally Blonde-Rated PG-13

Well, I am sure you all know the story of the dumb blonde who decides to go to law school because of the boy who got away! Then find her true self and who she was meant to be! This is one of the best feminist films I know it’s funny, smart, and witty! Watch a very lost girl become a powerful and intelligent woman!
