I’m so excited to share this adventure with all of you!
Love you all,
I hope you all are enjoying your weekend so far! Today I want to write to you about friendship!
My mother always told me to pick my friends wisely. They are one of the biggest influences you will have in life! They are people who can help you by encouraging you to feel and be the best you can be. But they are also people who could convince you to do stupid things or lower your self esteem.
To me this was really important I believe that I did pick my friends wisely! My friends are people who are supportive and optimistic. They are always there when you need them and in return you need to always there when they need you.
I have been best friends with Jill since 1st grade. She is one of the most important people in my life and I have no doubt that she will always be my best friend.
I may have only been 6 years old but I understood the importance of friendship and how picking a good friend could help me in life! Jill has been through everything with me from first grade through my wedding day! I know she will be there to help me celebrate graduating college just as I will be there to help her celebrate! She will be one of the first people to hold my child one day. That is the best part of having a childhood friend grow with you! They become like family because they have always been there and always will be.
I hope you all realize the importance of friendship and that it really is not about quantity but quality. You choose your friends and let them into your life make sure you surround yourself with people who will help pick you up when you need it and will always be there during the fun and the not so fun times! One thing to remember… if you can fill one hand with true friends you are extremely wealthy!
Friends are important so pick them wisely!
Love you all,
It’s finally here! February 26th the I’ve been waiting for since last summer!! It’s fuller house day!
I grew up watching full house all day, everyday! I used of dream of moving to Nebraska because I assumed everyone in Nebraska must be as kind and caring as Aunt Becky!
My favorite phrase was “how rude” and I must admit after hours of practice I have a great Elvis impersonation. not to mention as a child I felt like I had a strong bond with Michelle because we shared the same name.
Full house was a good wholesome family show! Everyone could sit around the TV and laugh it was family bonding wrapped into an half hour episode!
Kids learned important lessons from full house! Lessons like the importance of family, how having one real friend is more important than having a handful of fake friends, we learned that love can show up in unexpected places and that even in times of tragedy people who care will be your best support system!
Needless to say I am very excited for the new installment fuller house! I guess you all can guess what I’ll be doing with my day!
I hope you all enjoy your Friday!
Love you all,
Today I want to write to you about people who would do anything to reach what they consider to be beautiful.
This idea came to me after I had a bad reaction to a Rimmel lip liner I just bought! I am the first to admit that I am an extreme girly girl I love to put on makeup and do my hair but at the same time there are plenty of days I spend the day bumming around in sweatpants and my hair in a bun.
But anyways last night I tried this new lip liner and I loved the color! As I was cooking dinner I started to feel my lips tingle which is extremely odd for a lip liner. I took the chicken out of the oven and went to the bathroom to take it off. My lips were enormous! If you had ever seen the movie Hitch, my allergic reaction was a lot like his!
I typically have a very small top lip that disappears when I smile. But now it was huge it looked like I had some sort of lip injections just to my top lip. Around my lips were red with a crazy itchy rash and I looked insane! I took benydryl and put some ice on my face. Benydryl always knocks me out so this morning when I woke up I thought everything would be better.
It was a little better the rash is basically all cleared up but my top lip is still huge and has cuts from swelling so large! And all from a lip liner, was it worth it… NO!
Some people go under crazy amounts of plastic surgery to achieve their ideal look. They subject themselves to injections all in the name of beauty! I personally think that everyone is beautiful every one is unique and that is how it should be!
I recently watched an episode of the twilight zone (yes, I am a nerd) were on your 16th birthday you undergo a treatment to look the same as all other Women so you can be considered beautiful! Now it’s clear to see that this is insanity but still people do this everyday and spend thousands of dollars doing it.
Why is it so important to have a DD cup size or Angelina Jolie’s cheek bones? Why do you need a Kardashian butt or Jennifer Anniston’s nose! If woman could just get over idolizing the looks of other woman we would be so much happier!
Your own natural beauty is beautiful and that should be enough! Plastic surgery is dangerous and do you really want to risk your life to look like someone else!
I hope you all enjoy your Thursday I will be home icing my lips
Love you all,
Today I want to talk to you about another great book I have found! I know I talk to you all a lot about books, but reading is one of my favorite things to do and I always love to share a good book with you all.
I just finished “The Lives We Lead” by Alexandra Egi, and I have to say I actually couldn’t put it down! The book follows a group of 11th grade girls who are attending an exclusive prep school. King’s Stand is one of the best prep schools that many would die to be let into. The headmistress Ms. Hillcrest will do anything to make King’s Stand appear perfect and keep its flawless reputation.
My favorite part of this book is the dynamic between the four girls. Zoey and Jenni have been best friends since kindergarten. They have been basically inseparable their whole lives. The story takes place with Zoey and Jenni reuniting after spending a year apart because Jenni was in a writing program the previous school year. Will this relationship be the same after a year apart or will that separation drive a wedge between these two best friends? What happens when two people who tell each other everything suddenly have secrets?
Ashley spent last year in the writing program with Jenni, over the last year they became very close friends. To Ashley, Jenni is her best friend but seeing the friendship between Jenni and Zoey is making Ashley jealous. Maddi is the new girl, she ends up rooming with Ashley, who was hoping to room with Jenni. Maddi has all the same classes as Zoey so she seems to be a fourth person thrown into this friendship triangle. With some of the girls being more accepting of her than others will she ever truly fit in?
This book touches upon the real issues of boys, self-confidence, family problems, and friendship. I do not want to give too much away since you all should read it for yourselves! One thing in particular I want to mention is the author of this book. Alexandra Egi is only 17 years old, and a senior in high school. Writing a book takes an insane amount of dedication and patients to have such a huge accomplishment completed before you graduate high school is amazing. Alexandra says that her aspiration is to make a difference in the world! After reading her book I most definitely believe she will accomplish this goal.
I hope you all go out and pick up the “Lives We Lead” by Alexandra Egi! Click on the photo bellow to be taken to the amazon page! If you read it let me know what you all think!!
I don’t know about you but I actually enjoy Mondays! I know that to most people Monday is the end of a weekend but to me it’s also a new week to look forward to! Plus the bachelor!
So today I want to talk to you all about staying true to you, being “younique”!
Like I have talked about a lot a lot of woman find themselves jealous of others. Maybe you want her hair or her body but sometimes it is important to sit back and celebrate being you!
So let’s all make an effort to stay younique! There’s one thing in the world you have that no one else could ever have and that being you! You should be proud of your thoughts, accomplishments, and your beauty!
Inside and out you are all beautiful! Sure you may not look like the model on this month’s Cosmo magazine but honestly after all the retouching and effects she probably doesn’t even look like the girl on that magazine!
Everyone should be able to look in the mirror and be happy with their reflection. Not just your outer beauty but just who you are as a person!
You are the only person who can be you so be younique!
Love you all
Today I want to talk to you about spreading kindness! Simply being kind is an easy thing to do but still people choose to ignore others or be rude rather then kind.
A simple smile or hello to someone can really turn their day around! Life is hard for some people and it’s important for everyone to know they are not alone!
Sometimes people just need to see an act of kindness or feel like they have a friend to help them smile and feel good about themselves!
So get out there and spread some kindness! Hold a door open for someone, wish them a good day, compliment them on so thing, or simply smile!
Life is to short so be happy, be kind, and just be you!
Love you all
Hello Beautiful People,
This post will be different from my usual posts! I wanted to tell you all about my trip to queen Elsa’s castle yesterday!
Just kidding Elsa doesn’t live there LOL
Elsa lives in Arendelle, not New Hampshire. But it was a castle made of ice!
The ice castles are man made castles completely made from ice! They are able to build so much just out of ice! It’s the perfect outing for families, the kids will have a blast running through the maze and sliding down the slide! It’s also the perfect date for couples it’s so beautiful it most definitely sets a romantic mood!
The castle was beautiful! It was packed full of tourists attempting waiting in an hour long line to slide down a slippery slide of ice but it was beautiful!
Unlike Elsa the cold definitely bothered me! And I was disappointed that my snowman did not come alive and love warm hugs but I enjoyed myself anyways.
There were mazes of ice and a fountain of ice and a slide of ice and thrones of ice basically there was a lot of ice! It was nice!
Me and Tyler met Ashley, Joel and Melania at the castles yesterday and had so much fun! Although we did not enjoy waiting in the hour line for the slide we all enjoyed our selves!
We explored all areas of the castle, took tons of photos and ended the day with a hot cup of coco!
I have never been one for winter weather or the cold but I would recommend the ice castles to anyone! It’s a must see! And one of the most beautiful places you will ever see!
There are ice castles all over the country so I hope some of you get out and enjoy them like we did!
