Mistakes or Happy Accidents

Hello everyone,

Today I wanted to write to you all about making mistakes. Everyone does it and it is unavoidable in life. However maybe these little mistakes are actually what made your life what it is today. When I was little I was always told to make good choices because it only takes one mistake to ruin your life. I realize that this is true for example a mistake like drunk driving can kill you, but I am not talking about these big mistakes I am talking about little ones that you learn from and move on from.

So if we can’t avoid mistakes then how should we handle them We should learn from them. If you date someone and later realize that it was a mistake learn from it maybe you realize the different characteristics that you want and don’t want in a partner. I always try to look on the bright side of things and their is a bright side of mistakes as well. You just need to realize that mistakes happen and that you can learn from them and maybe good things will come out of that mistake.

Today you are who you are because of the choices you made in life. A few of these choices may have been a mistake but with out those mistakes you would not know what you know and you would not be where you are. Remember to smile and look at things with a glass half full because tomorrow is another day.

I love you all

Michelle

    • I know exactly what you mean! Everyone makes those embarrassing mistakes there just a way of life sometimes you wish they would happen at different times or in front of different people though!

  1. I I completely agree with your statements. Mistakes make us who we are and builds character. We should not be ashamed of them. We are all human and we need to learn to embrace our imperfections.

  2. You’re absolutely right. Sometimes you just have to take the positive from a situation. Currently, I’m realizing that I’ve made many terrible mistakes. Although, I’m not proud of them , I got my lovely daughter out of it. I had to just take my marriage as a learning experience, learn from my mistakes and keep moving forward. I loved the way you called them “happy accidents” and will definitely be referring to my mistakes as just that. I learned not to go searching for love or to rush into things but to let it come to me. In time, I hope to find someone that can truly make me happy, someone I won’t call a mistake. You know I read once, “I beg you…to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without ever noticing it, live your way into the answer.” This is the principle I want to live by. Who knows if tomorrow we’ll be here so why not live life to the fullest. We’re all human, we are bound to make mistakes. As long as, we learned from them and not repeat them time and time again, there’s nothing wrong with that. I hope to one day find my answers.

    • Hi Maria, thank you for your sharing your experiences! I found what you wrote to be extremely inspiring! It is very hard to look for positive things in situations that are life changing in any way! I am so glad that you have realize that the end of a chapter does not mean the end of your story! One day your daughter will look at you and realize how lucky she truly is for having such an inspiring and strong mother in her life! I really wish you the best in the future and I know with the positive attitude you have only good things will come to you!
      Love Michelle
